HOW THESE ACTIVITIES TAKE PLACE IN THE
                         INTERNATIONAL CORPORATE COMMUNITY?

ESPIONAGE:
Assume that a Manufacturer wants a trade secret of Competitor, and will stop at nothing to get it.  They send in a Mole to secretly fetch it.   How?  Maybe as a newly hired employee of Competitor's out-sourced custodial company.  Armed with utmost craftiness, the Mole heads for the file containing the data.

COUNTERESPIONAGE:  Competitor's no dummy.  Through a covert grapevine, they hear about the threat, and dispatch their operative to locate and neutralize the attack.

Imagine the complexity of this type of activity going on throughout the International Corporate world.  For as many types of Corporate Intelligence that exist, there are an equal number of those who would stop at nothing to have that information in their hands.
